The File Menu options offer the means to import a data table into the program from a file, to save the data table to an ASCII file, to view any ASCII file, to reset the program's startup defaults, or to exit the program:

The Import
option opens a file and imports an XY data table.
The Import Decimate option opens a file and imports an XY data table by reading every nth data value.
The Import
Clipboard option processes the information currently in the clipboard for an XY data table.
The Import Binary option processes a fixed block binary data file for an XY data table.
The Append
option opens a file and appends an imported XY data stream to the current data table.
The Append Decimate option opens a file and appends an imported XY stream to the current data table by reading every nth data value.
The Append Clipboard option processes the information currently in the clipboard and appends an imported XY data stream to the current data table.
The Average Replicates option processes the current data for replicates, placing averages and inverse variances in the data table.
The Save As
option saves the current data table to disk.
The ASCII List option offers the ability to list, edit, print, and save back ASCII files.
The Reset All Defaults option restores all defaults to the installation state.
The Exit option closes the program.
A Previous Files list will be appended to the bottom of the File menu.
It is also possible to Drag and Drop Files into AutoSignal.
