The Data Menu offers items for inspecting and modifying the current XY data table:

Generate/DATA01.gif The View option in the Data menu offers a simple graph of the data as well as a very fast numeric list facility.

Generate/DATA02.gif The Section option is important for isolating portions of a long signal stream for analysis. You can isolate sections graphically by an XY sectioning mode where you box the region of interest, or an X sectioning mode where the left mouse is held down and slid right to disable points, and left to enable. You can also numerically specify ranges to include or exclude.

Generate/DATA03.gif The Compare Imported Reference offers the means to graphically compare the current data set with any imported reference.

The Subtract Imported Reference is used to subtract a reference signal from the current data set. It can be used to remove backgrounds that can be measured separately.

The Add Imported Reference is used to add a reference signal to the current data set.

Generate/DATA06.gif The Enter Calculation option is used to enter one or more equations for data transformation.

The Apply to X-Y Table is used to apply an existing calculation to the current data table.

The Cancel Calculation option clears the calculation from memory.

The XY Statistics option displays the data table statistics in the status window in a listing that can be saved or printed.

Generate/EDIT2.gif The Reset XY Data will restore modified data back to its original import or generated state.

Generate/EDIT4.gif The Clear XY Data is used to completely remove all entries from the data table.
